Hi everyone! Jennifer from a small town outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina who recently joined "Just Finish" and am enjoying it so far. I have gained some friends and received some great advice. I ran my first 10k in April this year (09) and was excited about meeting my goals - 1 finish, 2 not last, 3 under 1 hour :) I signed up for a HM over the weekend - YIKES...I have good thoughts and questionable ones, but it's only been 3 days. Oh, and I have 5 months to get it done! Looking forward to reading more stories and meeting more people. TTFN.

I am a Soccer Referee/Lacrosse Umpire, so a big motivation for my running is to be fit enough to be a better official.

I run becasue it is "me" time. Time to allow the mind to wander. Sometimes solve problems. Sometimes just to avoid them.
I run for the enjoyment of it. Others can not run so I appreciate my opportunity. If it is no longer enjoyable, I'm doing it wrong.
I like trails mostly. Loop trails because I hate turning around.
I live in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota in the summer and can walk out my back door directly into the National Forest to run. The rest of the year is spent in relatively flat Texas. But we still find trails.

Shoes are way over-rated. But I do like my Vibram Five Finger KSO's.

Kirsten from Northern Virginia about 45 minutes outside DC. Just ran a 5K yesterday and won my age group for the first time. It was a small race, but gave me the boost I need to train into the winter!
