I would double check the settings. If autopause is on, when you lose the satellite hookup the Garmin thinks you have stopped.

Dan -- I do not think my autopause is on; but there were several long underpasses. In fact at mile 13 a supply truck headed for a water stop crashed into the top of the underpass crushing the top of the truck as I was going by. No body was hurt. Unfortunate for the driver but entertaining for us runners.

Mike,
Did you run through any tunnels with the Garmin on autopause. That could cause the time discrepancy. I found that out the hard way.

Jenny and Carl --- way to on your races, a PR and I love that elevation chart. It looks like a roller coaster to me. I ran Indy Marathon yesterday and it was flat. My Garmin says 26.35 miles in 4:47:08 at 10:54 pace which would be a PR --- chip time is 4:49:34.7 --- or 11:02 pace! I hate that!! -- I think Garmin is correct!? Probably not though. This was definitely an urban race and flat as advertised. Expo was nothing much. Very difficult to maneuver around downtown for expo and getting to and from hotel which was expensive. Weather was good --- really too warm at 40 to 65 or so. Anyway I finished strong with no cramps looking forward to next year.

And Carl, congrats on your new PR! I have to go for the distance PR's these days rather than time - which is why I now run primarily trail ultras. I did, however, beat my 30-yr-old daughter in the 1/2 today...not that I'm out to beat her, but there WILL come a day when I can't do that anymore, so I'd better take it when I can :-)

Wow, Jenny. Quite the hills!

Ran a fun 1/2 marathon today - used it as a hilly training run. My first actual race since I turned 50! I'm attaching the elevation map from my garmin.

Ran a local 10k this morning (Cranberry Crawl) in support of the area Food Bank. Finished well and am happy with a new PR.
