Aaron,

Great idea! I was just talking with Wonder Woman about making priority seating reservations or counter service at a WDW resort restaurant (on the monorail loop) for anyone interested from Just Finish.

By using a monorail loop restaurant anyone staying at another WDW resort would be easy to jump the monorail from the Magic Kingdom.

Is anyone interested in meeting at WDW monorail resort restaurant?

Looking for interest in meal (lunch or dinner) and day of the week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Post your replies and lets meet up.

The place I love the best for FUN is at Disney Wilderness Lodge... The Whispering Canyon! This restaurant in NOT on the monorail loop.

My girlfriend isn’t able to get the time off to go to Orlando with me, so I’m going to be cutting my vacation short.

I’ll be flying in on Thursday & leaving Tuesday.

If anyone wants to try to carbo-load or go to the park over the weekend, I’ll be flying solo!

Keep on your pratice schedule. You can see how your strenght is building as you get closer to January. Go back to the basics and don't push too hard. Go for the distance, not time. Use pleanty of fuel as you go along. Proper amounts of Gatorade and gel packets to power you along.

At Disney as long as you can maintain a 16.00 min mile pace you should be able to pull it off.

Things that may slow your pace down is the ALL the Disney characters in each park. They are located along the route in soooo many places.

Here is a tip to give you extra time. Start at the very front of you corral. That gives you an extra 10 - 15 mins of marathon time as those in the back. That way if you need to slow down at the end you will have 'extra' time to finish.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

I am running the marathon and it is my 1st. I had to stop running in Aug and Sept due to an unexpected surgery and this has set my training back. I am worried I won't be able to finish. Any tips?

I will be down at Disney for the Dopey (5k on Friday plus the Goofy Challenge - Sat & Sun).

I have a new goal this year, I would like to get 500 photographs (emailed to me) with runners, volunteers and spectators.

This year I will be wearing my costume the entire time at the expo and races.

Is anyone else going to wear a costume to any of the events? If so let me know I would like to get a group together for photos, possible dining and for fun.

Finished the Free Press full marathon...need to keep training to the Goofy though. My toe kept hitting the front of my shoe and I developed a blister under the toenail...the last 8 miles were very painful....but Finished! Now if anyone has any suggestions for the shoe issue, the shoes are already one size larger than what I normally wear...please let me know....thanks!

I ran Back to back half marathons this weekend to judge where I am for the Goofy Challenge. I didn’t break any records, but I finished both of them running & my confidence is growing.

I have not done anything over 13.1 Miles since the Seattle Rock N Roll, so it is now time to start lengthening my longer weekend runs.

Keep those miles up!

My first Goofy too. I'm training by running nine miles every Saturday. My Sunday long run goes up each week. I did 16.5 miles today. My plan for the half is to take it easy. Run and walk and stop for photos. I'm not going for any personal record. Just cross the finish line in about 3 hours or bit less. After the half I will go back to the hotel room and rest and eat, eat and rest. My feet will be up all day. No park hopping or rides. Just rest for the big day.
For the marathon my goal is to run the entire 26.2 miles without stopping or walking. This does not mean that I am fast. I'm a slow runner, but a runner. So I hope to do the full in about 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Then I will be sure to spend the rest of the day walking around with all three medals on my neck. Clanking with each step. I will eat one of the wonderful Mickey Mouse ice cream bars.
